🥔 Parmesan & Garlic Potato Cake Fries
A crispy, indulgent twist on classic potato cakes — cut into fries, deep-fried until golden and finished with parmesan, garlic and fresh herbs.

🛒 Ingredients (for 2–3 portions)
Potato Cake Fries
600 g potato cakes (potatisbullar)
1 L neutral oil (rapeseed or sunflower oil), for frying
Fine sea salt, to taste
Parmesan & Garlic Finish
100 g finely grated parmesan
2 garlic cloves, finely grated
1 small bunch flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
Freshly ground black pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the Fries
Cut the potato cakes into even fries, approx. 1–1.5 cm thick
Keep sizes consistent for even frying
2. Fry
Heat oil to 170–175°C (340–350°F)
Fry the potato cake fries in batches for 6–7 minutes, until deeply golden and crisp
Remove and drain briefly on paper towels
Season lightly with salt while hot
3. Parmesan & Garlic Mix
In a bowl, combine:
Grated parmesan
Grated garlic
Chopped parsley
Black pepper
Mix gently to keep the texture light and airy
4. Finish
Transfer the hot fries to a large bowl
Sprinkle over the parmesan mixture
Toss or shake gently until evenly coated
Serve immediately while crisp and aromatic
